Sweat in Peace: iPhone Hacks to Stay Focused and Crush Your Fitness Goals

We all know the stereotype of the gym-goer glued to their phone, but let’s be honest—I’m logging sets, trimming videos, maybe scrolling Reddit or getting sucked into TikTok, and, oops, there’s a work email I’m too curious to ignore. It happens to the best of us. That’s why I love powerlifting coach Claire Zai’s tip: use your phone’s “Focus” mode to stay on track. iPhones have a “Fitness” option that activates during workouts or manually from Control Center, silencing distractions and limiting your screen to fitness-related apps, widgets, and motivational wallpapers. With a few tweaks, your phone can help you stay in the zone.

All or Nothing: Victoria’s Secret Goes All In to Rewrite Its Future

The message from Tuesday night’s event in Brooklyn was clear: after a six-year break, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show has returned, and its future is being shaped by women. The night showcased a female-centric production featuring an all-women musical lineup and a diverse array of models in sophisticated, comfortable lingerie, including leggings and sheer cover-ups. K-pop star Lisa from Blackpink opened the show, while Gigi Hadid emerged on a catwalk that blended elements of the “Barbie” movie and ’80s video games, donning PETA-approved faux feather angel wings. For the first time, the runway featured more models of color, plus-sized, and older models, including Adriana Lima and Kate Moss, who made her debut alongside her daughter, Lila. Cher’s captivating performances of “Believe” and “Strong Enough” stole the show, proving that the models could have been invisible and the audience would have been captivated nonetheless.

Photography portraits of musicians like Britney Spears, Billie Eilish, and Snoop Dogg are being auctioned as part of Milk Studios’ PHOTO24 event, with proceeds benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Hollywood. Bidding is currently open on artsy.net, and a VIP viewing of the artwork is scheduled for October 17 at Milk Studios in Los Angeles, with tickets available on givebutter.com. Among the featured pieces is a black-and-white print of Spears taken by Timothy White in 1999, along with images of Cher by Karen Kuehn and Grace Jones by Greg Gorman. John Jay’s portrait of Eilish, titled “Languor,” shows the singer lounging on a couch, while a photo of Naomi Campbell by Pamela Hanson was originally shot for French Vogue in 1990.
