From Seoul to Tokyo: How Korean Beauty Trends Shaped Japanese Skincare
Source: Kokoro Japan
Korean beauty’s elaborate 10-step routines, complete with double cleansing, toners, serums, and masks, have captivated the U.S. market with their innovative approaches and vibrant packaging. However, Japanese skincare is now gaining traction for its simpler, more streamlined approach, offering clear skin through a straightforward four-step routine focused on hydration. While K-beauty remains popular for its complex rituals and products like hyaluronic acid and oil-based cleansers, the rise of J-beauty as a minimalist alternative is drawing attention. Experts suggest that K-beauty’s success has opened the door for Japanese skincare to shine in the U.S., where brands like Shiseido and new ventures such as Kosé Corp and the Shikō collective are making a significant impact.

Heartbreak for Fans: Aerosmith Ends Touring Due to Steven Tyler's Voice Problems
Source: Fox News
After more than 50 years, Aerosmith is retiring from touring. On Friday, the band announced via their official X account that Steven Tyler's voice, which has not fully recovered, led them to make the "heartbreaking" decision to stop performing live.
The band reflected on their journey, saying, "It was 1970 when a spark of inspiration became Aerosmith. Thanks to you, our Blue Army, that spark caught flame and has been burning for over five decades." They expressed gratitude for the fans who have been part of their rock ‘n’ roll history.
Addressing Tyler's health, they noted, "Steven’s voice is an instrument like no other. Despite the best medical care, a full recovery from his vocal injury is not possible. We’ve made the difficult decision to retire from the touring stage."
They thanked fans, their crew, and everyone who supported their journey. In May 2023, Aerosmith had announced a farewell tour to give fans one last chance to see them live, with guitarist Joe Perry noting the band members' ages as a significant factor in the decision to retire from touring.
